Why see a Private GP?
At Wimbledon Private GP Clinic we are able to offer you a same day appointment with our highly experienced GPs at times suited to you. Our consultations take as long as you need in our relaxed surroundings and you will always see one of our teams as we never use agency or locum doctors.
Will my consultation be confidential?
Your consultation and results of any investigations will be totally confidential. We will pass on important medical information to your NHS GP only if you give us permission to do so.
Do I have to register to be seen?
Whilst there are many benefits of registering with us, including having medical cover 24 hrs a day every day of the year, home visits at anytime during the day or night, reduced prices for consultations and investigations and fast, free delivery of medication to your home, you may also be seen as a non-registered patient if you wish.
How do I register?
You may register by completing the registration form or by phoning 020 8540 1009 and speaking to one of our members of staff.
Can I still be registered with my NHS GP?
Yes, we highly recommend that you maintain your registration with your usual NHS GP.
Do I need to book an appointment or can I just walk in to see a doctor?
If you require an appointment you need to book first by ringing us on 020 8540 1009 and a member of our staff will book an appointment at a time convenient for you.
At which site can I be seen?
You have the choice of being seen at either of our clinics. All doctors work at both premises and you may choose which location is most suitable for you. Please inform our staff at which clinic you wish to be seen when you book your appointment.
What are you opening hours?
Our opening times are from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday and from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.
We can perform home visits if you need to see a doctor at times when our clinics are closed or if you are unable to attend the surgery.
How can I pay?
You may pay by debit or credit card, cheque or by cash. We accept all major debit and credit cards apart from Amex. We ask that all invoices are paid in full immediately after your consultation.
I live abroad and currently visiting London, can I still be seen?
We welcome visitors from abroad who need to see a GP or require a specialist referral.
What are the payment arrangements if I am covered by private health insurance for general practice consultations?
For non-registered patients we ask for payment to be made in full and we will provide you with a receipt to claim bank your expenses. For registered patients we may be able to obtain the payment direct from your insurance company depending on your policy. Please ask for further details.
How do I get referred to see a private specialist consultant?
You will need to book an appointment with one of our GPs to discuss your referral and where you can be seen. We will then provide you with a referral letter and advice you on the most renowned consultants in the best private clinics.
